Shopping need not be an empty chore. It can be a fulfilling social experience. Stressed and busy parents require selection, ease and convenience.
Our Mission:
Mother & Child will be more than a place to buy clothing and accessories. We strive to be a more responsible and friendly alternative that will leave parents feeling good about their shopping experience.
Mother and Child will strive to offer more alternatives and to have the largest independently-owned selection of new and recycled children's clothing in Southern NH/Northern MA.
Our Values:
Buying better quality means spending less in the long run.
Recycling saves resources.
Parents benefit by sharing ideas and experiences.
Organically-grown fibers are healthier for the workers, the planet and our families.
A business and its customers can work together to help create positive social change.
A community is not well-rounded and healthy without a strong Arts presence.
Shopping at locally-owned stores keeps your money circulating within the local economy.
Our Success:
We are locally-owned and mom-owned. We give employees flexibility in their jobs so that being parents and grandparents can be their first priority.
We stay involved in our community by supporting groups that value parenting, that bring art into the community, and that help those in need.
We try to avoid buying from companies that do not treat their employees, the community, and the Earth with respect. We are members of Co-op America's Business Network.
We sell very-good-quality, made-to-last clothing, toys and gifts. We also recycle (baby to teen) clothing, toys, furniture, accessories and equipment. We sell unique items --many are made locally.
We sell products that encourage natural parenting because we believe that natural is almost always best. We do so without judgment. We simply try to make it a little easier on parents who choose natural alternatives because formula, plastic diapers and polyester are all too easy to find while nice quality, natural alternatives, and encouragement can be harder to find.
