We do not accept any consignments (this includes drop and run consignments)  on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
It is still a good idea to call ahead, whenever you are bringing consignments, to be sure we have room for more of whatever you have to consign.

    Important notes to consignors:
    1.  We will, effective immediately, be asking for ID when you use your credit or ask to take your balance in cash/check.  Thank you for cooperating with this, as it is for your protection. We have not had a problem, but feel that our number of consignors and number of employees has grown so large that we cannot all know all of you.)  :)

    2. We now have the ability to post your consignment account information on the internet, so you can look at your transactions or account balance from home!  In order to allow your account information to be posted on the online server, we need you to complete an Internet Agreement.  You can download the agreement, sign it, and bring it with you next time you visit, or you can fax it to us @ 603 886 6727 (call first); or... we have blank forms at the shop.
note: You will need to have Adobe Reader installed on your computer to be able to open the Internet Agreement.  If you do not, you may want to download it for free, from Adobe.com.

Once you have given us the signed Internet Agreement, it may take a few days for your account to be set up online.   Once it is uploaded, you will be able to access it by going to

    http://mothersays.shoprw.com/consignor/login or www.mothersays.com

and clicking on "consignor login."  You will enter your e-mail address in the username field and in the password field. You may want to change your password, once you are logged in.  You will be able to view your transaction history. Please keep in mind that credit for any item sold within the past 7 days will show in your online balance, but is not, yet, available to you, because customers have 7 days to return items.

(You will see that there are options having to do with online selling, as well.  At this point, we are not using the online sales features, so there is no reason to register as a customer.)

Please let us know if you have any trouble at all: info@mothersays.com or 603 886 6727.

    Remember:
Bring no more than 30 items each time you visit.
We really encourage you to call ahead whenever you have any items --including clothing-- to bring.
We will tell you, before you pack them up, if we have room for more of each of the categories of items.

    frequently asked questions:

Why do we have so many rules?  Items that take up space in the shop and do not sell, do not benefit us or you.

When in doubt, save us all some time, and give us a call @ 603-886-6727 or e-mail us @ info@mothersays.com.

    Q. Do you pay me for my items on the day that I bring them to you?
    A. No.  Your items will be kept on consignment.  After they sell, credit goes into your consignment account.  You may then use your credit or take cash.  note: Please refer to our Consignment Policies for info about cash vs. credit percentages.

    Q. Do I need an appointment to bring items to you?
    A. No. We do, however, have strict rules about the number of items you can bring in a day. We ALWAYS RECCOMEND CALLING AHEAD to ask if the items you are about to bring are items we are able to accept.  (Often, we just have too many of a particular item, for example.)
NOTE: It is especially important to call ahead before you bring a larger item (crib, baby swing....) because it will be an incredible waste of your time to load these into your car and then find out we do not have room to take them.

    Q. May I choose the prices that you will put on my consigned items
    A. While we are open to suggestion, we have 17+ years of experience in selling children's and maternity items, and will use that experience to make the final decision on how to price your items.

    Q. Does the money in my account ever expire?
    A. No. Your credit-earned stays in your account until you use it to purchase items in the shop, or until you take a cash payout.

    Q. What happens to items that do not sell in the alloted 3 month period?
    A.  They get donated to a local charity that will give them away to those in need.

    Q. Will I make lots of money by cleaning out my closets and attic?
    A. Well... you may make some money.  However, we are all about recycling and about selling nice, up-to-date, clean, baby/children's/maternity items at very reasonable prices.   Note: We do not sell collectibles or antiques at Mother & Child, and we do not reccommend buying things at yard sales and trying to make money by selling them at Mother & Child.

    Q. How should I prepare the items I want to sell?
    A.  We will only consider freshly laundered/cleaned items that are in style, in demand and free of defects.  We ask you to look over your freshly washed items for missing buttons, stains, missing toy pieces, etc and to bring only 30-or-less clean, sellable items for us to consider.  Clothing does not need to be ironed, but does need to be neatly folded.

    Q. I am moving (or have other special circumstances.)  May I bring you more than 30 items at one time?
    A. The reality is... we are asked this question several times per day, and so, we must say "no." We feel it is not fair to bend the rules for some and not for others.  Most people will find that if they look through their items carefully, with a critical eye, and make sure they are all for the correct season, they can pare down the number of trips they need to make to consign all of their outgrown items.

    Q. How do I find out how much money is in my account?
    A. You can call us (603-886-6727), e-mail us (info@mothersays.com) or stop in and ask us to look up your account anytime dring business hours.  Remember: the balance that we quote to you will be your "store credit" balance.  If you intend to take cash or a check, the balance will be less. (Please refer to our Consignment Policies for info about cash vs. credit percentages.)

    Q. Do I ned to remember my account number?
    A. You do not need to remember an account number.  We look you up by your name.
